Teaser Trailer: The Raid 2: Berandal
When The Raid came out last year, it knocked all our socks off here at Fatso. This Indonesian actioner raised the martial arts genre to a whole new level of bone-breaking bad-assery, and made a star out of its lead Iko Uwais, a dazzling silat expert. Naturally, a sequel was announced not long after, with writer/director Gareth Evans promising the scale of the action to be much larger and more ambitious than before. Based on the teaser that's just gone online, I don't think we'll be disappointed. Although it's fairly brief, the flashes of action that we do see is enough to get us freakin' excited. Click below for a wall-punchingly intense glimpse of The Raid 2: Berandal:

Fan-Made Teaser Trailer: Man of Steel 2
As the internet continues to process the idea that we're living a world where the next Batman is being played by Ben Affleck (via petition, via think-piece), a crafty fan out there has put together a teaser trailer of what the sequel to Man of Steel might look like.
Note: Bryan Cranston hasn't been officially cast as Lex Luthor yet as of writing.
Man of Steel will be out on DVD and Blu-ray on October 30.

Teaser Trailer: A Good Day to Die Hard
Watch lotsa stuff explode in this plotless minute-long teaser for the next Die Hard movie - the FIFTH one, if you've lost count. Brucey gets to shoot people in Russia with his son (Jai Courtney) this time round, which one hopes will be a step up from Die Hard 4.0 (jeez how that title has dated). It's directed by John Moore though, who doesn't exactly have a track record to get excited about (Max Payne, The Omen remake), but I guess we'll see on Valentine's Day 2013.
Yippee ki-yay etc.

Teaser Trailers: The Master & Skyfall
A couple of pretty sweet teasers for you today: First up is Paul Thomas Anderson's long-awaited The Master, which is finally coming out later this year after taking forever to get off the ground (it's been a good 5 years since he made the magnificent There Will Be Blood). In the film Philip Seymour Hoffman plays a cult leader with perhaps-not-unintentional similarities to Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard, and Joaquin Phoenix, in his first feature acting role since 2010's faux-doco I'm Still Here, is a troubled WWII vet who comes under his wing. Secondly is the first glimpse of the new Sam Mendes-directed 007 outing Skyfall - I have to say it's a lovely, elegantly constructed teaser that makes the film look kinda, um, sensual and beautiful. I'm already confident that it'll be better than Quantum of Solace. For some deeper analysis of the teaser by a Bond expert click here.

Teaser for a Trailer: Looper
I know I've ragged on about this "teaser trailer for a teaser trailer" business recently, but I'm gonna make another exception (ha!), 'cos it's Looper, and I'm crazily excited about Looper. Also I dig the presence of star Joseph Gordon-Levitt and director Rian Johnson in this clip... nice personal touch, etc. The full teaser trailer will be out in the next few days. In the meantime enjoy some quick flashes of footage from the flick here.

Teaser for a Trailer: Prometheus
It's not even a teaser for the film anymore, it's a teaser for a trailer for the film!! This is getting a bit ridiculous but I guess hats off to Fox for their willingness to drain every drop of anticipatory drool from the fans out there. So here's a few seconds of money shots from Ridley Scott's hotly anticipated is-it-an-Alien-prequel-or-not sci-fi extravaganza to tide you over until the full thing hits the web this Saturday:

Teaser Trailer: The Grey
I like how Liam Neeson is kinda shaping up to be a version of those gruff old school old-timer leading men that Hollywood used to have in abundance; think Lee Marvin, Burt Lancaster, Warren Oates, Charles Bronson etc. - men who look like they've been around the block but still have a little bit of fire in their engine to really kick some ass. Following Taken and Unknown, The Grey is the latest Neeson vehicle to give him some serious action chops and it looks frickin' great. Re-teaming him with The A-team director Joe Carnahan, it's a snowbound survivalist thriller pitting a plane-crash-surviving group of oil-rig workers against the Alaskan wilderness. I'm not crazy about Carnahan's Smokin' Aces nor The A-Team, but I like Narc a lot and hope perhaps The Grey will deliver something on the level of that bad cop flick. Teaser trailer here.. how cool is that makeshift Wolverine claw thing Neeson is sporting??
