The Girl with the Pirated DVD-R
Sony's DVD release of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo has confused some Redbox customers in the States due to the "pirated look" of the disc:
While I appreciate this from a design perspective, it's interesting and curious that a major studio would want to associate their product with piracy at all, even if it's in the spirit of the movie's rebellious, computer-hacking protagonist. Not sure if the NZ release will have the same design, but if it does, just so you know here first: we're not sending out pirated discs of the movie.

2012 Floods Subway
This is a cool marketing campaign from Sony Pictures for the release of Roland Emmerich's disasterific 2012 in Brazil. The film opens here on Thursday. More 2012 reading: Making Waves.
