Sad to hear that Maria Schneider has died at 58 from cancer (Guardian obit). The French actress was best known for her role opposite Marlon Brando in Last Tango in Paris, but I'll remember her more fondly as the beguiling, mysterious "Girl" in Antonioni's 1975 existential thriller The Passenger.
