Trailer: Her

Four years after Where the Wild Things Are, Spike Jonze is back with Her, an oddball romantic comedy starring Joaquin Phoenix as a lonely writer who falls in love with an operating system. Scarlett Johansson lends her sexy husky voice to the Siri-type artificial intelligence. It looks imaginative and stylish as you'd expect from Jonze, who's directing from his original screenplay for the first time.

Trailer: Safety Not Guaranteed

Been hanging out to see some footage from this, a time travel rom-com starring mumblecore director/actor Mark Duplass (The Puffy Chair, Cyrus) and Aubrey Plaza (Parks and Recreation) in her first big lead role. It doesn't look like anything life-altering, but it's received some decent press since playing at Sundance earlier this year (here's The Hollywood Reporter's take) and at the very least it'll probably be an endearing little comedy. If the plot sounds familiar, it's because it's based on an internet meme from 2005.
